 Engraved By The National Bank Note Company,

 Was Supplied For A Very Short Period, 

From December Of 1877 To May Of 1878. 

Nothing Is known Of The Company.

 1,768,410 Stamps Were Issued, 

All On Pink Paper... 

Applied On The Match Box.

Most Did Not Survive Usage, 

The Stamp Was Considered Common. 

Generally Thrown Away After Usage. 

Remember With Three Cents You Could,

Purchase A Dozen Of Eggs At The Time.
